Artist's Description
Exploring the country-site on my cross-country skis, I often come across relics of our technology littering the landscape. Although I have a deep nostalgia for the past, these remnants are an eyesore in our landscape and belong to the scrap yard.
But for an artist it can also become food for his imagination, how did it get here? Whom did it belong to? What was it used for? Why was it left here? At that moment, on this cloudy and windy winter-day, my imagination planted the seed in my head for this painting. What may be an eyesore for you became an inspiration for me, to record the past in the context of a well-composed landscape painting.
