A professional artist since 1970, Conrad was born in 1938 and is a graduate from the Graphic Academy in Munich, Germany. In 1965 he immigrated into Canada and lives now in Barrie, Ontario.
Collected all over the world, - He settled down and used to lived with his wife Deedee in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, and in 1976 his Son Paul was born.
19 Months later his wife perished in a car accident. Ever since, Conrad has dedicated his time to his work as an artist. and raising his son Paul on his own. Paul has graduated from the University of Toronto and is today a practicing physiotherapist with his own Physiotherapy clinic in Barrie, Ontario. Canada. He, with his wife Sara are raising already 2 sons, (Aidan and Callum) on their own.
Due to his age and health, Conrad sold his Brampton townhouse in 2017 and moved into a condo apartment in Barrie, Ontario to be nearer to his son and family.

His work has been published in the past by Hallmark Canada, by UNICEF Canada, by Access Fine Art Ltd. Toronto, and by Canadian Art Prints Ltd. Vancouver, as cards and reproductions.
In 1999 Conrad has been awarded Arts Person of the Year, and in 2016 he also received the Acclaimed Artist award - both from his former hometown of Brampton, Ontario.
In 2016 and 2019 his work was also included in the Ducks unlimited portfolio, of Canada.

His work reflects his keen and lifelong interest in our 'Rural Heritage' and his deep feeling about his subjects and the world around him, The medium he uses is mostly water-based (watercolour egg-tempera, or acrylic). Lately he also enjoys doing Character sketches in pencil. Although most of his work is done in his studio, he takes extensive breaks hiking around rural Ontario in search of new subjects, new ideas and new inspirations.

Conrad is a member of the Knights of Columbus, lives by himself and states:
